Salinas Community Leadership Academy Has Final Sessions October 27 and 29

SALINAS, Monterey County — October 26, 2026. Salinas’ Community Leadership Academy is nearing the end of its six-week schedule, with sessions Tuesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. The city lists the Multipurpose Room at Mount Toro High School, 10 Sherwood Place, as the venue. The 12-session academy started September 22 and introduces adults to city government, municipal services and civic participation.

Residents age 18 and older may contact program staff about future enrollment; the city does not promise that a first-time participant can join the final two classes without registering. Participants have been offered dinner and a certificate of achievement, but this is civic education rather than a credential guaranteeing city employment. For questions contact Guadalupe Perez at 831-758-7019.
